All systems almost go !

Like all good speeches we shall start with the thanks,

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the what-on-earth-is -she-banging-on-about discussion.
As promised, there was a small amount of bribery attached to that plea for help and I would like to announce that Stephanie of Loft Creations is the winner - and she has chosen Parsley to come and live with her. (Cue wild applause)

So, the whole Sydney thing.......here is what you can expect if you are going to be around on Saturday at 2.30 or Sunday at 10.30.

There will be me touching very very lightly on how to set up a free blog (handout for this) and then a bit more of me chatting about blogs and why you would bother. Then there will be some more of me chatting about how to keep on blogging and maybe even a little bit about blog etiquette.
Then there will be some more of me and YOU asking and answering questions. There is sure to be a giggle or two, there will be some of my crafty stuff to look at so you don't have to keep looking at me, and there will be freebies for the early birds.

So if you are at Stitches and Craft please come along and say Hi or even if you just have sore feet, come and sit in the same room as me and nod off in the corner - I won't be offended.

Do you know I had a dream that only one woman came to the studio?

It doesn't take a psychologist to unravel that little insecurity does it???

  1. I'm sure it will all go swimmingly well, you sound super prepared. And hey, if only one person turns up (which wont happen anyway) only two people would know about it :).

  11. Was that one woman your mum saying, 'Very nice dear.'? Cos that would arguably be a lot worse!!!

You will be shocked when you get there and suddenly there are a whole crowd of fans all chanting your name and waving selvedge flags in the air.... actually a selvedge flag is a good idea!... not that I'm hinting or anything... :)

It will go fabulously and you will be the star that you actually are. Go get 'em Jodie!

  33. I can't believe I went to the show and missed your talk!!! I was leaning how to make fabric flowers and missed all the fun.
I had to let you know that I overheard a conversation later about the amazing woman talking about blogging - that could only have been you. So there's at least one person who really enjoyed your talk!!

  35. I was sitting on the floor up the back with my baby (and it really was standing or sitting-on-the-floor room only!), and I loved listening to you! you dun good. More people should scream at their audiences from delight and excitement! And when you said that things get ugly in your world if you don't make something every single day, it made me feel exactly normal, cos I am just the same. so great to meet you.

  36. I can't wait to hear how it went for you. But ofcourse you did fine, I don't doubt that for a second. I would have loved to visit and hear you speak if I lived anywhere in your part of the world!

  38. Next time you do a talk at a craft show you will need to find yourself a 'soundproof room'! You almost drowned me out while I was teaching my class! I think you might need to request a bigger room too (for the masses) and a longer time slot as once you get started there is no stopping you!

Wished I could have been there to hear all of it! Great to see you and Annie again, miss you!
    love from L.A.
